Lars Hinrichs is a German entrepreneur and investor, and a founder of XING, a career-oriented social networking site enabling a small-world network for professionals. Lars took XING public in December 2006 and led the company to a profitable business with annual sales in axcess of EUR 100m. In 2009 he resigned from his position as CEO and joined the board of directors. He has been a Member of Supervisory Board at Deutsche Telekom AG since October 1, 2013.

Currently Lars is focused on Cinco Capital, an independent investment company headquartered in Hamburg, Germany. Cinco Capital holds investments in Europe and the US in various industries including technology, financial services, telecommunications, wholesale, marketing, media and others. Cinco’s best known portfolio company is the taxi booking and payment app My Taxi. Cinco Capital holds LP positions in Seedcamp, Atomico and Index Ventures. In 2016, Lars became an advisor to Target Global, and helps the Firm with access to attractive tech investment opportunities across Europe.

Lars is an active member of the Young Global Leaders (YGL) of the World Economic Forum and the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). In 2004 Lars was awarded the German Internet Prize by the Federal Ministry of Economics. In 2007, he received the LeadAward Media Award. In August 2008 he was elected Germany's most important web entrepreneur by the Startups Initiative.
