Rytis has been part of the European tech ecosystem as founder, angel investor and venture capitalist since 2008.  Most recentlyRytis was co-founder and CEO of YPlan, the world's first mobile-only event booking app that evolved into a comprehensive event discovery and booking platform.  Backed by General Catalyst, Octopus Ventures, Wellington Partners, Amex, Ashton Kutcher and others, YPlan was acquired by the Time Out Group in October 2016.

Before YPlanRytis was Vice President at a growth equity fund Summit Partners, responsible for software and consumer internet investments in Central and Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and the UK.  Rytis helped source and co-led investments in AVAST Software (a multi-billion $ business and the world's largest freemium consumer anti-virus company with 400m active users) and Acturis Software (Europe's largest insurance Software as a Service).

As angel investor and advisor, Rytis has backed and supported founders of innovative startups including Trafi, City Pantry, Roli, Student.com and others. His previous experience includes positions at BofA Merrill Lynch (investment banking associate), Deutsche Bank (sales and operations analyst), and SEB VB (asset management analyst).  Rytis graduated with distinction from the Harvard Business School MBA programme (Boston, MA) after completing his bachelor's at Jacobs University (Bremen, Germany).  Prior to leaving Lithuania for his studies, at age 14 Rytis founded and ran his first startup focused on white box computer assembly and installation of internet connectivity within residential and SME clients.
