Feyo joined Target Global in January 2022 after six years as an operator at some of Europe’s fast-growing start-ups. Most recently he served as CFO of Oxford Nanoimaging (ONI), one of the leading biotech companies in the UK. Prior to this he was the CFO of Bubbleology, a premium Bubble Tea brand across the US and UK. He began his career at JP Morgan as an analyst covering Pan-European consumer & retail M&A and was also a long/short equity analyst at Och Ziff focused on event-driven strategies. Feyo's first foray into crypto dates back to 2016 and he's been an ardent supporter of the industry ever since in his capacity as an advisor to several startups and funds.
Feyo is a graduate of Erasmus University Rotterdam with a BS and MSc in Economics. He is a passionate sailor and speaks Dutch, French, and Italian.
Jorge previously worked as a senior consultant at Minsait, where he helped build its digital transformation practice. He started his career at Akuo Energy as an intern, after this he moved to Amazon where he was part of the founding team that launched the brand in Spain and Italy. Jorge holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from INSEAD and a MSc in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICAI).
Jorge is a passionate fisherman, and enjoys spending time fishing across the northern coast of Spain during the summer months.
Ricardo joined Target Global in 2020 as a Partner in its Early Stage strategy. Over this time he has led over a dozen investments in companies including Revolut, Kuda and Fintecture.
Prior to joining Target, Ricardo founded Loric Ventures, an early stage investment vehicle that backed companies including Revolut, Habito, Planradar, Maven Clinic and many others. He was previously a member of Seedcamp's investment team, a Venture Partner at Cherry Ventures and on the M&A team at Merrill Lynch. He was a founding investor of WeGotPOP, a workforce platform for the film and tv production industry which was later acquired by Entertainment Partners, and continues to be an active angel investor in companies across Europe and the Emerging Markets.
Ricardo holds a PhD in Economics and Social Studies from FAU Nürnberg-Erlangen and a Diploma in Economics from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
Ricardo has been cast as an extra in a number of Hollywood blockbusters including Star Wars, the James Bond series and Wonder Woman where he often had to play "the bad guy".
Josh has had a deep fascination and passion for technology all his life. His career in consulting includes working at Accenture, London Strategic Consulting and TempoCap, where he advised blue-chip clients in the banking and pharmaceutical industries on the strategic value of artificial intelligence in day-to-day operations. In 2021, driven by the desire to work with exciting young companies, Joshua joined Target Global as an active member of the growth investment team. Josh’s investment are in Web 3.0, the Metaverse, eCommerce and Fintech. He received his BSc in IT/CS from the University of Southampton and his MSc from the London School of Economics.
Josh enjoys riding American quarter horses - a breed of horses that excel in sprinting short distances, while in his spare time he can be found beatboxing and singing karaoke.
Clifton worked previously as an associate director for a Fiduciary, there he provided directorship services to (licensed) BVI and non-BVI companies and funds as well as heading a team of senior corporate administrators. Clifton is an expert in corporate governance and financial management with over half of his professional experience being in client-facing roles. Industry experience includes Harneys, Rawlinson & Hunter BVI and Bunzl plc.
Clifton lives in the British Virgin Islands, in his free time he likes to explore remote islands and beaches. He is a running fanatic with an ever growing trainer collection.
Bao-Y joined Target in 2017 and is one of the leaders of Target's growth stage investment practice. She has a particular focus on companies in the Edtech, Consumer and Software industries and has led our investments in companies including Lepaya, Crisp and Elopage.
Bao-Y joined Target from Morgan Stanley’s Mergers & Acquisitions team where she advised companies in the TMT, Financial Services, and Industrials industries in both London and Sydney. She began her career as a graduate trainee at Postbank in Germany.
Bao-Y holds an M.Sc Finance from Imperial College London and a B.Sc in Business Administration from Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. A German national, she is also fluent in English & Vietnamese.
She is passionate about fitness and is a huge roller coaster enthusiast (she's ridden more than 15 roller coasters to date), and is not deterred, even by inclement weather.
Bao-Y has been widely recognized for her achievements in Handelsblatt's list of the 50 most influential women in the German Tech Industry, Forbes's 8 Female Venture Capital Investors To Watch List and numerous other publications.
Shmuel Chafets is founder and Chairman of Target Global where he oversees the early stage practice, co-founding projects and strategic development of the firm. He is also the CEO of Target Global Acquisition Corp I, a NASDAQ listed SPAC.
Throughout his 15 year career as an investor, Shmuel has invested in over 50 companies across SaaS, B2C and Fintech. His investments at Target Global Include Auto1 (AG1), McMakeler, TravelPerk, Patiant21, Fresha, MAYD, Voyantis, Cybellum (Sold to LG), Zooz (Sold to PayU) and others. He is also Chairman of The Vets, a home veterinary care business that he co-founded with Target Global.
Prior to Target, Shmuel was a Partner at Berlin-based Hasso Plattner Ventures where he led the firm’s investments in iZettle (sold to PayPal) and Hansoft (sold to Perforce). He began his career in venture as a Partner at Giza Venture capital and as Co-founder of GPV, a pioneer investor in the CEE region.
Shmuel has also co-founded a company in the gaming sector (LocaLoco, sold to Say Media Group) and a cybersecurity venture called Securing SAM.
Shmuel began his professional career as a strategic and media consultant working in the Israeli parliament and government.
Ben joined Target Global in July 2018 as a Partner. As the Head of Target Global's dedicated Mobility 2.0 Fund, Ben leads the firms' investments focused on enabling technologies and business model innovation across various segments, including transportation, logistics and automotive. His investments include Auto1, Delivery Hero, GoEuro, Flink and numerous others.
Prior to joining Target, Ben spent over a decade at Goldman Sachs across the firm’s London, New York and Tel Aviv offices where he covered numerous high-profile M&A transactions, capital raises and institutional investments across the tech and mobility sectors. Ben helped pioneer global coverage of next generation mobility and auto tech, working both as an advisor and investor with leading strategic players and startups in the field.
He has also been an active angel investor in over a dozen startups across a number of segments, including mobility, logistics, marketplaces and software. His portfolio companies have gone on to raise several hundred million dollars from top tier VC funds. Ben holds a BSc degree (First Class Honours) in Economics, Politics and International Studies from the University of Warwick.
Khalil used to be part of the product strategy team within Berlin-based challenger bank, N26 where he assessed the economic impact of new product initiatives and worked on inorganic investment opportunities. He started his career in Amsterdam within the Philips and then Signify (Philips Lighting) in-house M&A Teams working on deals covering healthcare, consumer lifestyle, and lighting. Khalil holds an MSc in Finance and Investments (cum laude) and a BSc in International Business Administration from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.
One of Khalil's screenplays ended up being shortlisted by the Academy Awards' Nicholl Fellowship. Rumour has it he's still searching for a producer...
Lodovico joined Target in 2021 as an analyst in the Early Stage investment team.
Lodovico started his career in the Finance & Product Strategy Team within Berlin-based bank N26. He assessed the economic impact of core products segments in digital payments and cards & wallets, together with in-depth assessment of the new product initiatives. Prior to joining N26, Lodovico held internships at VG Asset Management, and Gualapack Group.
Lodovico holds a MSc in Finance from the University of St. Andrews, and BBA Double Degree Program from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and Lancaster University.
Ugo joined Target's Growth Stage team in 2021 after completing his graduate studies at ESSEC Business School with a degree in Mathematics and Physics. During his studies, Ugo interned in the finance team of Spendesk, helping them raise their €100m series C led by General Atlantic.
Ugo has a MSc from Kings College London and played both tennis and golf at a competitive level in France.
Gilad joined Target in 2017 as a Partner focused on the firm's deeptech portfolio which includes Ermetic and Seekret. He also sits on the board and serves as an advisor to Plessey Semiconductors, XMOS, and CP Display, which was acquired by a leading US corporation last year.
Over the past two decades, he has held a wide range of business development roles at M-Systems (acquired by SunDisk), Anobit (acquired by Apple) and Elastify (acquired by Google). Gilad was also an early advisor to Pliops, which has grown to become one of the leading semiconductor companies in Israel, and Cyvera, a cybersecurity company (acquired by Palo Alto Networks).
Gilad is an active angel investor with a portfolio of more than 80 companies across Israel, the UK, France, Italy and the US. He's a graduate of Bar Ilan University with a BSc in Computer Science, Economics, and Math and served as an officer in the The Israel Defense Forces.
Prior to joining Target Global, Alex was a project manager at RVC and a business development manager for Russian Quantum Center, where he successfully launched several spin-offs in the field of quantum physics. Alex holds a master’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Physics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT). Alex is a member of the MIPT Physicists' Days organising committee.
Alex climbed two out of the seven highest peaks on the Seven Continents (aka Seven Summits) and likes to go by "AP".
Mike co-founded Target in 2012 and has a special focus on the firm's investments in Fintech, as well as overall management of the firm.
He is responsible for Target's investments in Rapyd, Copper, Cryptofacilities, Mercuryo, Finom, 3Commas and others.
Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree from London School of Economics and is a history buff which led to Target Global creating a series of books on the history of Russian entrepreneurship pre-1917.
Georgie is an investor at Target Global on the early-stage team focusing on health-tech investments. Prior to joining Target Georgie worked at several venture-backed companies in deep-tech and health-tech across product, marketing and sales. During COVID-19 she joined the Lazada co-founders to build a health and wellness marketplace, which was acquired by Holland & Barrett in December 2021.
Georgie joined Holland & Barrett as the Director of Partnerships during their digital turnaround focusing on NHS partnerships, insurance, tele-med, diagnostics and women’s health integrations. She is particularly passionate about women’s health, mental health and AI in healthcare. Georgie’s been featured on the Sunday Times Maserati Top 100 Innovators in Britain, Independent’s Top 30 under 30.
Dana worked as a project manager at the Digital Israeli Bureau, a government initiative that strives to harness the opportunities that the digital revolution, technological advancement and media offers. She was one of the founders of The National Digital Learning Initiative, which focused on regulation, technology, strategic relationships with government ministries, NGOs and the private sector. She began her career as a data analyst at the Israel Democracy Institute in Jerusalem and was a researcher for the annual Israeli Democracy Index. She holds two master’s degrees, one in Political Science and Government and the other in Statistics and Operations Research, both from the Hebrew University.
Dana used to be an actress in her youth, and participated in a few Israeli series.
Lina Chong joined Target Global in 2018 and is one of the leaders of our early stage investment strategy where she focuses on investments in the SaaS, Consumer, and Web 3.0 space with a particular focus on the German and Spanish markets. She works with companies including TravelPerk, Fresha, Bloom, Kippa and numerous others.
Prior to joining Target, Lina was an investor at Hasso Plattner Ventures where she led the investments in major software and consumer companies including ReBuy, GoEuro, iZettle, Hansoft and numerous others. Lina began her career as an entrepreneur and created two successful consumer-facing businesses: DealKeren, a coupon platform in Indonesia and Luster, a mobile-first commerce platform.
Lina has a Masters in Law and Business from Bucerius Law School and WHU School of Management, and a BA in Philosophy Law and Society from the University of California, Riverside.
Lina loves to read science fiction and philosophy books and is passionate about the arts and emerging artists/musicians.
Dr Gerhard Cromme was chairman of the Supervisory Board of Siemens and Thyssen Krupp as well as a member of the Supervisory Board of numerous corporates in Germany and France, such as Allianz, Eon and Volkswagen, as well as BNP Paribas and Saint Gobain. Today, he shares his insights and experience with the Target Global team and as a chairman of the Supervisory Board of our portfolio company Auto1. Gerhard Cromme is also chairman of the Advisory Board of Aroundtown, one of the largest stock listed real estate companies in Europe.
Pedro joined Target Global in 2019 where he leads Fundraising and Investor Relations.
Pedro is an experienced fundraiser, having served in senior positions at MVision and Hamilton Lane. managing sourcing, due diligence, execution of fund investments, co-investments, and secondaries on a global basis. Pedro began his career in the venture capital arm of FINEP, the Brazilian innovation agency.
Pedro holds both an MBA and a BSc in Industrial Engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro. A gaming fanatic - he spent three months gaming professionally prior to completing his MBA.
Yaron Valler is responsible for Target's growth stage investment practice where he led the investments in well-known companies including Wefox, DocPlanner, Delivery Hero, Bird, and numerous others.
Yaron has worked at the crossroads of technology and venture for more than 25 years. Prior to Target, Yaron held leadership positions at Hasso Plattner Ventures where he was an early investor in Delivery Hero, Omio, and Panaya and Giza Venture Capital where he successfully sold Yadata to Microsoft and eGlue to NICE. He was also Vice President of Business Development at Technion Seed (formerly Technion Entrepreneurial Incubator Co. Ltd.) where he was involved in the creation of more than 20 startups including Corrindus and Mazor Robotics, which were both sold for over €1bn, and Rewalk which went on to list on The NASDAQ. In a personal capacity, he co-founded Excedo Technologies, a company that specialised in supply chain modelling and analytics software and was sold to Evantra in 2003. He began his career at Intel where he was part of the team that developed the Pentium processor.
Yaron holds an MBA from INSEAD and a B.Sc. in Information Systems Engineering from Ben-Gurion University.
Prior to joining Target Global, Felix worked as business strategy and operations manager for Deliveroo. He started his career at Rocket Internet where he worked on ventures in Europe and Asia. Felix holds a MBA from INSEAD, a Msc from IE Business School and a BSc from ESB Reutlingen.
Felix mitigates his love for food with endurance sports such as cycling, running, and ski-touring.
Peter previously worked with leading global healthcare company, Johnson & Johnson, in multiple functions. He was responsible for establishing a joint venture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as well as managing the distribution network across the Middle East. Before that, Peter successfully restructured and sold a manufacturing company for an Austrian industrial group and advised European SMEs on procurement in China through his consulting company in Hong Kong. Peter started his career as an assistant to the CEO of a stock-listed smart-mobility solutions company in Germany. He holds a master’s degree in Finance from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) as well as an MBA from London Business School.
He has lived in Europe, Asia, the U.S. and the Middle East and has traveled to 50+ countries and used to run his own company in Hong Kong. He has a passion for slalom water skiing on the Italian lakes in the summer and alpine skiing in the winter.
